I am using the HDRP Lit shader, I have an emission map inserted in the correct spot of the shader. Nothing happens, I’ve messed with all the settings and no emission is visible. So the question…is emission a “Volumetric Lighting” type of feature? I’m using an old card that does not support hdrp volumetric lighting, do you think maybe the emission just doesnt work with this old card? Geforce 960m. Thanks.

Emission on shaders will only affect the surface of the object.
If you want it to light other objects, you will need global illumination (GI) either :
    - Baked withing lightmaps / lightprobes / probe volume
    - Screen Space GI
    - Raytraced GI (not for your card though)

My scene is using SSGI, but you can't see the emission map that is applied on this character at all. It won't show up in any way visually, not even on the surface of the object. Could I be doing something wrong or does this sound like a video card issue?

Hey, have you tried increasing the emission intensity? HDRP uses physical lighting units so you won't see faint emission under a bright light source (sun).

I got it working in a dark scene, the emissive map color was default black that needed to get changed to white...Then the exposure weight needed to be way lowered and the emission intensity way raised. I'm going to try it in a bright scene to see if it still is showing up
