Bug [EGL] Unable to acquire context: EGL_BAD_NATIVE_WINDOW

Hello Unity,

Some of my Android customers are experiencing crashes related to OpenGL

User will minimise my app, then open my app again later, and the window crashes.

The error is:

Engine: Unity 2021.3.10f1

Game is using OpenGL ES 3.0.

I'm unable to reproduce this.

From my customer log files, here are the different devices this is erroring on:

Looks like there's an old issue on the Unity Issue Tracker from Unity 5.4: [Android] Error when coming back from background EGL_BAD_NATIVE_WINDOW on some devices

Could this please be investigated and fixed again?

I don't think submitting a bug report from the Unity Editor to submit to Unity QA is going to get anywhere since I can't repro this.

This is still coming in daily from many different devices.

Errors after users switch apps and return to the app.

 

facing the same in production 100k instances per day. Any updates on this? Unity 2020.3.25f1
