Editor Window resize and move issues and crashes [SOLVED]

Hey everyone,

I had encountered an obscure problem while using the editor on my Dell XPS laptop that would either crash unity or show black graphical errors in an editor window while trying to resize or move it. This would only happen periodically and it took awhile to pinpoint the common denominator. I finally figured out the problem and since my google searches yielded no results I wanted to post here in case anybody else ends up having this same specific issue.

Basically my laptop (and likely a lot of others), when disconnected from power, switches to using the integrated graphics on processor to save power. When disconnected the editor would bug out, and when plugged in, everything works fantastically!
