I seem to have this weird problem where any editor window contexts, like a dropdown or selection box etc; appear on my second monitor and pinned to the very side of the screen.

Built in menu and right-click contexts work as expected - it only seems to be ones derived from IMGUI editor windows/inspectors.

However, if I move my whole editor application to the second screen and work from it - everything behaves as normal. (but I don't want to work on that monitor :p )

    Has anyone else encountered this?
    Does anyone have a solution?

Hi @OtoriScorp. What version of the editor are you running? We've fixed issues like this since 2019.4. But if you've tried this on recent 2021.1 builds we'd like to know. If you are on 2021.1, is your resolution and scaling the same on each monitor, or do they differ?

Hi Kevin. I am on 2020.2.1f1 with DPI scaling set to 200% (note this is not fractional scaling).
    I am using Ubuntu 20.10, gnome 3.38.1.

This also happens regardless what DPI setting is in use (native or scaled).

It is most frustratingly happening when adjusting the rect transform controls and adding a new component in the inspector.

Let me know if you would like more info. Cheers!

@OtoriScorp, I can repro at least the "Add Component" part of this. I have the bug report in front of me now and am taking a look.

    Hello mr Welton,

I have noticed that this issue has been fixed on version 2021.2.0a5, but I have noticed that this issue persists on the LTS version 2020.3.11f1 (12f1 doesn't seem to have a related fix on the release notes as well).
Could you please re-open this issue for this version?
I am using Pop OS 20.04.

    Kind Regards

I am also facing this issue on Linux for 2020.3.11f1. Appreciate it if it was backported.

    Hi everyone,

As we drive toward getting the Linux Editor ready for release, we continue to make significant changes in window management. Some of these changes are complex enough that backporting, even to 2020.3, is not as simple as it may seem.

Keep in mind that Linux is still in beta and that we don't support releases other than the latest. This, unfortunately, includes previous LTS releases. My team's bandwidth is too limited to focus on backporting (and testing the backports) when we are trying to solve existing issues that would keep us from shipping.

Thanks for your understanding. I know it isn't the answer everyone would like to hear.

    Hello Mr. Welton,

I really appreciate your honest answer and I am looking forward for the official Linux Editor your team is working on. I totally understand your situation and appreciate your hard work.
I would be glad If I could help out as well somehow, even though I don't have game engine experience. Otherwise I will be waiting for the official release of the editor.

    Kind Regards

I'm experiencing this bug on 2021.2.0f1. I see the bug report says it's fixed, but not for me. I'm on Arch Linux 5.14.10 and KDE Plasma 5.23.1. I also tested 2022.1.0a13 and the issue still persists

According to the tracker, this has been fixed since 2021.2.0a5. Unfortunately, it still happens for me, in various Unity versions, including 2021.2.5f1 (and 2020.3.24f1). It happens regardless of whether DPI scaling is enabled and what screen I have the editor window on. Popups seem to randomly open either at the correct position or at 0/0 on the leftmost screen.

I'm running Ubuntu 21.04 with KDE Plasma 5.21.4, GTK 3.24.25, and three 4K screens.

    Hi,
The tracker says it was fixed in 2021.2.x, unfortunately however, it is still persists at currently 2021.2.7f1.

Despite that however, the behaviour quite weird, most of the time it goes on the wrong monitor, but some times it appear on the correct location (color picker, add component, general window popup, etc.)

    2 Monitors (1600x900, 3840x2160)

    Unity 2021.2.7f1
    Manjaro Linux
    Kernel 5.15.12-1
    KDE Plasma 5.23.4 (Framework 5.89.0)
    Qt 5.15.2
    X11
    NVIDIA 2060 (Driver latest video-nvidia)

    Clarification:

It is not only on the wrong screen, it actually can be either on the right or the wrong screen but the position is also could be wrong.

What I mean is, for example, if I have Unity on the 4K monitor, sometimes the popup shows up on the 2nd monitor, and sometimes in the same 4K monitor but at the wrong location, mostly on the left corner and upper left corner.

But also some of the time it does appear at the correct monitor and correct location.
