Just noticed a pretty annoying platform inconsistency in 2.6.1f3. If you have an custom editor shortcut that uses "shift", it'll activate while typing in text fields in the Windows version of Unity. (but not on the Mac version)

i.e. if I try to rename an object in the hierarchy, say I'm renaming something to "Level Geometry", I hit "shift + L"... instead of letting me type a capital "L", my editor shortcut gets activated.

Has anyone else run into this? Does Windows have some problem with shift-based shortcut keys in general? :)

I've never run into this with Windows in general.

I just tried changing a shortcut to Shift + Q and renaming an object with a capital Q and I don't have a problem.

Win XP and same Unity version.

Are you running virtualized Windows or via Bootcamp? If it's virtualized maybe there is something getting mixed up in the virtualization software.

Windows Vista in my case. (not virtualized)

Not sure what OS version my friend is running, I'll find out...
