    Hey guys -

I'm trying to use Unity 2020.1.4f1 on Ubuntu 20.04.1 LTS running on an old Macbook I've been wondering what to do with. I've now got everything working except something that seems like it should just -work- but isn't.

When I save a layout of the Editor Panels all looks OK. However, when I try to go back to that layout in a new session, the Panel positions are recalled correctly, but they are all resized and very different to the way I've left them.

Let me try to explain with a walkthrough.

    1. Reset Layout to Factory settings, so we get this:

    2. Move the Console out, resize the panels, and save the Layout as Base Layout.
Specifically moving the border between Hierarchy and Scene, Scene and Inspector, and Scene and Project/Console
    We now look like this:

    3. Save the Project and Exit the Editor.

    4. Reopen the same Project from the Hub, which gives this layout:

    5. Confirm it's the layout I saved by choosing Base Layout from the dropdown:

Any ideas what I'm missing please? I imagine it's something basic, but googling just got me a bunch of stuff on Gnome's Panels within Unity which isn't the right Unity :)

Thanks in advance for any help!

Have the same issue in 2019.4.15f1. Debian 11, MATE DE.
In addition to this, and I think it might be related, the editor window size and position is not saved. I always expand the window to full screen, but every time I restart the editor it opens up like this:

The editor is not expanded to full screen as you can see. It leaves some space above that has a size of a dock/bar. If I click on expand to full screen or just resize the window by dragging the window borders, then exit and open the editor again, it will open as at the image again.
And if I don't resize/expand the editor, close it and reopen, it will leave more space above with the size of 2 docks/bars now. Close-open again - 3 dock/bar space. And so on.
I thought it might be the issue with MATE window manager (marco) but I also tried Openbox WM and it acts the same. And yeah, other apps work fine with no window size issues.
