Editor looks blurry

I've run into an issue where the editor text starts looking very blurry and the overall look becomes darker.
Here is an example where it looks good:


And here is one where it looks bad:


They are running on the same version of the editor. 2020.1.17f1. I think I saw this issue once when pressing play on just the example scene as well. I am running Linux Mint 19.1. This is light mode but the issue is the same in dark mode.
