Bug Editor keeps completely locking up. Happening more and more often over the past few days.

    At increasingly frequent intervals, Unity 2021.3.7f1 is locking up completely upon clicking on an object in the hierarchy. Doesn't seem to be any particular pattern to what it is. Entire Unity window becomes unresponsive. No error messages in the log. Any suggestions as to what I could do to track down the cause?

    NB: It isn't an infinite loop in the code. It can happen even when the game isn't running.
