I've had the issue for about two years now and never found a fix to it. Everytime unity attempts to compress a texture, the editor crashes. I've tried uninstalling and installing again on all my drives, Tried factory resetting my PC, Replaced RAM in PC, Installing with all anti-virus turned off, etc. but nothing I've tried fixed the issue. I found in the Windows Event Logger that the file ispc_texcomp.dll is the faulting module. I also found that when I bake lighting with compression, the editor crashes on the task for reflection_probe1.exr but when I don't compress anything, it doesn't crash. Importing that file as well as most other textures that would be compressed crashes the editor.

Not sure if anyone can help me find a solution to this but at this point, after two years of trying to fix it, I'll try anything really. Has anyone else had this issue?

Thank you for your time if you do want to help!
