    Hello,

For some reason my camera cannot pan or rotate. I have the hand tool which should let me the pan right a left click held, and that doesn't work. If I hold ALT and the hand symbol changes to an eye symbol, and then with left click that should orbit the camera around that point, but that doesn't work.

Below is what it looks like. I don't have the lock on on the top right.

I also cannot resize or scale objects, both 3D and UI. Basically everything is completely broken. Below is a video showing this off.

Any help would be much appreciated, since Unity is presently not useable and it's incredibly stressful.

Tried creating new projects in both the same version (2020) and an older Unity 2018 and still the same problem. I can't find anything online about people having the same issue.

    Any thoughts folks? :)

Now spent 2 hours straight and cannot get anything to work at all. Attached below is a second video I've made, focusing on how pretty much none of the UI controls work:

Okay so after wasting an entire night on this, here are my solutions:

    1) A reset of the computer (not just Unity, which I had reset many times) seems to have allowed the camera to pan/orbit etc again)

    2) The UI was still not editable then. I found though that ProBuilder was the culprit. "face" mode was on, and it needs to be "object" mode. It seems ridiculous that this would affect editing of things not in Pro Builder, but whatever...

Thanks again Unity for another evening that I could have spent working but instead spent fixing your bugs o_Oo_Oo_O

If only Unreal Engine did C#...

Sorry you went through that, I'm having the same issue not sure if it's pro builder but I certainly can't get off pan mode.

Fortunately it was a test project environment still setting up that project again is going to be a chore X_X. I'll look to find out what settings are happening here in probuilder. But I would think if the end user is clicking off of pan mode then that should take precedence over a setting long forgotten.

wow thanks @empyre17. took me a bit to figure out. That little icon is almost invisible. I feel like unity sometimes wants to trap noobs and see if they really want to learn to make games XD

I'm having a similar issue. Lock isn't selected, I'm in Perspective mode, "Free" is checked.... cannot at all pan or orbit with the mouse, which is the only way to orbit. Horrible.

To get back the tools do this, it appears to be very simple
