Edit Textures button???

I'm trying to follow a tutorial which refers to the "Edit Textures" button. Problem is, that i don't see any "Edit Textures" button in the Inspector, when i select the brush -> paint texture.

Every single tutorial and manual (including Unity's own) refers to a button, that i simply cannot find in 2018.3.3f1 which is an offical release according to the Unity hub.




What am i missing here?

 

I haven't been using 2018.3.x much yet, but I would assume the tutorial was written prior to the 2018.3 terrain system redesign. Try the tutorials on 2018.2.x or earlier (or better yet the version the tutorial was written for).

 

Thanks for the reply. I think i have figured it out.

Needed to create a new layer under "Edit terrain layers" and now i'm asked to select texture
(don't know if this is the right way to go about it, but it seems to be working)
