    Will the buildings created at Playtime work with the NavMesh so our AI can detect it properly?

    Hi, it's good question, i think that yes, if you add the component Nav Mesh Obstacles on your Ebs Prefabs.

    Thanks for the tip. Will this work also with interors of created buildings (at PlayTime) or will AI just be able to find it's way around the whole building as a obstacle?

    If the component is correctly "sized" with your Ebs Prefabs, yes,
    After this just an idea, it would be necessary to try in a kind of prototype.

    Thanks again. I have purchased the Asset lately, but I can't try it immediately because I'll have to upgrade my Projects to Unity 5.5 first.I would be happy to hear if anyone has tried any AI with EBS already. Maybe they would share their experience here Thanks in advance.

    i see this has ufps intergration but was wondering about if it has any ufps photon multiplayer addon intergration

    Where in the timeline is the integration for Third Person Controller asset? I see the asset is listed as having third person placement, but is that only with the unity standard assets?

    Hi,

    Yes, you can use the Easy Build System on any type of Third Controller, as long as you have a camera, the system works. The integration of the Third Person Controller of Standard Assets is just an example.
    If you have your own character, you just have to add the Third Person Placement script on the camera.

    @Xandops It does, thank you very much. I've been trying to make a decision between two systems, EBS is one of them.
    It's hard without having a full list of comparative features, but I would be curious about any future planned integrations at this time? I'm wondering in particular about Forge Networking Remastered, but any other integrations planned could help assist my decision. I see physics are part of 3.0, them floating roofs just won't do! :)

    I understand this :), the integrations are added if there are many requests, example Photon Network.
    An integration with Forge Networking why not, the physics is more complex, because the rigid body component doesn't work with the snap point system, that's why I decided to post this, in a big update on the 3.0

    Update 2.5 now available read the release.txt for more information.

    Added integration :

    - 3D Forge Village Exteriors
    - Photon Network

    The Photon Network integration is still in experimentation it is possible to meet some problems, Thanks you to report it.

    The Photon Network integration has some problem with the Ebs Storage
    Component who load not correctly on the clients.

    Hi again,

    SOLVED : CHECK LAYERS IN PHYSICS SETTING COMPONENT!

    I am trying to integrate EBS with RFPS and I am having some Issues. While everything is working perfect in your Demo Scene in a empty Project, the Behavior of EBS Prefabs has somewhat changed in my RFPS Project. E.g. the Wood Foundation has changed its Preview shape and also its ability to snap together. Please see Screenshots: Wood Foundation in my RFPS Project. Shape is changed and snapping does not work. Also is it possible to only use Advanced selection menue and disable the other Placement mode?

    Any help is much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

    Hi,

    Do you have load the base layers of Easy Build System ?

    If you have this kind of problem, I suggest you post them on the forum Ads Studio 12 section Easy Build System.

    Hi again,

    thanks for your quick reply.

    I have followed the steps. I am not sure if I did understand everything correctly. I have not imported the Project settings into my existing RFPS Project, but I have copied the Input settings over from a fresh Project.

    Yes I have added the three layers with Tools > Easy Build System > Utilities > Check Layers.

    The modification of the keys (like mousewheel) must to be unfortunately by script, I will add another option for this.

    I think the problem comes from the layers of the project can you send me a screenshot of your project layers ?

    Have you selected all the layers after exporting on your Main Camera or the Ebs First Person Placement script and attached ?

    SOLVED: THIS WAS THE STEP I HAVE MISSED. :)

    @Xandops Got it working! I had to assign the EBS Layers in the Physics Settings for Raycast Layers. Now everything is working as expected.

    Note: RFPS comes with a "World Collision" Layer that is used for static Level Geometry (also Terrain). Should this be checked also?

    Thanks again. I have now tested EBS for some days and the System is working great with RFPS. To make the GUI work nicely with RFPS also I'd need some help again. To display Text as the SimpleUI RFPS needs GUIText Elements rather than UI because of it's LevelLoadFade Functionality.

    Can you please include a GUIText Version of SimpleUI to

    - split SimpleUI Script from EBS Selection Menu
    - Give the SimpleUI the Option to use either the mousewheel or a keycode to cycle through Prefabs
    - Give the SimpleUI the Option to be a GUIText Prefab (!) Please include Resolution Change Detection (!) ;)

    EDITED OUT

    Also the EBS Selection Menu would need some tweaking to make it work smoothly with RFPS.

    - Make the EBS Selection Menu Pause the RFPS Game with checkbox option.
    - Make the EBS Selection Menu enable the Mouse Pointer / disable again
    - Make the EBS Selection Menu Prefab that is selected be also selected when pressing >E< (until cycled)

    Please make a Tutorial on how to setup the Save/Load Functionality. Is it only for save/load while in Development or for Final Game Players?

    Thanks a lot for all the help and sorry for the amount of Questions. I dont mean to Spam your Forum Thread. Also I would make the needed Code Changes by myself, but I'm still a Unity Beginner and by no means a Coder.

    Hi @Xandops Thank you so much for your work. I have copied the Script to my Project and its Error free. I will try it out ASAP.

    I understand that. I am sorry I can't subscribe to another Forum but I have a collected a lot of Assets over time and maintaining Forum Subscriptions to all of them is nearly impossible. To keep the Thread organized, I'll be happy if you would write a PM.

    Also want to know how AI works with this system before I buy.

    What I basically want is the AI to be able to walk inside a building through the door. If anyone have tested it with navmesh or any A* asset.

    Can you also demo on how to build on a non 100% flat terrain? All videos seem to build on flat terrain only.

    Hi, I am looking for a toolkit which let me place furniture like Sim. Its gonna to be for mobile. So the furniture need to be manipulated with on screen UI and gestures. Wondering if this asset can do that?

    I have not had the opportunity to test the system with an AI.

    As far as the placement on flat terrain, you can disable this 'Preference'.

    Unfortunately, I have not yet developed integration for Android,

    If you do not have a particular knowledge in programming, I do not advise you at the moment.

    is it possible to make it work with stages, so you build a blueprint/base item then upgrade it by hitting it with a tool to finish it.

    Not without adding your own scripts, the system only allows placement/destruction as well as save/load.

    So I am making a survival game in unity and I need to know how I am able to use EBS. First of all I want the player to not be able freely build. I want them to have to obtain items such as wood in their inventory first. I have an inventory set up, how can I make this happen. Also when they build the item I want it to take the objects from the inventory thanks.

    The Inventory Pro integration is dedicated for this, for the moment,
    It is the only inventory system that is integrated with Easy Build System.

    However, if you have your own inventory system,
    It will be necessary to make sure to call the functions of Easy Build System.

    Small announcement to inform the beginning of the development of the major release 3.0.
    This next release will be available in approximately 3-4 months.

    Consequently, the improvements of the 2.5.1 are stopped.

    This will allow me to totally focus on the next release (3.0).

    Hi, how do scale the snap points with the objects themselves. I need the buildings a little bit bigger but when I make the meshes bigger the snap points stay the same causing them to clip into each other upon building.

    I bought this (v2.5) but the Snow scene in the video is not there and there is no Stone building set, only wood. What's up with that? Where's the Stone set? I really need the stone set.

    Hi,

    None of the scenes of examples are available with Easy Build System cause copyright problem on some models.
    They are only examples to show the possibilities with the system, in the video (# 5).
    I've used the pack Survival Crafter (https://www.assetstore.unity3d.com/en/#!/content/74384),
    there are also quite a few new elements that have been added such as metallic parties etc, it is very easy to add it to system.

    I am thinking to switch EBS from uConstruct. I want to ask is EBS supporting Photon Bolt ? If not, anyone has integrated well?

    Asset is compatible with the Photon Network, however, for Photon Bolt I never try I could not tell you.

    hi there, I am trying to use ebs with UFPS, and also a terrain... I have all of the components on the ufps camera, and the necessary components in the scene.

    I can get into placement mode, and for example see the wood foundation come out to be placed BUT it's always in red, no matter how flat of terrain I am on. It never turns green to allow me to place the item. (I have even tried to completely flatten an area of the terrain with the height sample tool, and still will not turn green to place)

    What can I do to get it to place on this terrain?

    and also does ebs support multiple terrains? (I am using map magic)

    Hi,

    1 - Check if your terrain has the tag "Terrain".
    2 - If the Ebs Terrain prefab is in your scene.
    3 - Also check if all Ebs Layers are properly charged.

    For Map Magic I have yet to try, i can't tell you.
