    About

    Easy Build System is an advanced modular building system for Unity 5.
    Placed, removed, edited your prefabs with your own conditions at runtime.

    Easy, Powerful, Fast
    Easy to use, documented, with an advanced custom editor.
    Create your own prefabs with the system to be able to use at runtime.
    Quick Start feature will allow you to use the system on any scene in just one click.

    First Person, Third Person, Top Down

    Looks good and easie.
    Most problems with these building systems are flosting parts. What happen to the roof if you erase all pillars?

    You can add a rigidbody to roof for avoid that :)

    Hi, would this work with physics so that components affect each other as you build something and could be connected to each other with joints? so if I attach something too heavy on one side of a pillar the pillar will fall over?

    Hi,

    I work on it for improve the physics of EBS.
    But for this version, you can added a rigidbody component on some elements like the roofs or pillars for added a effect more realistic.

    I was just about to ask the same question as Der, I plan on buying Motion Controller in the near future, so hoping they'll work together.

    This system has been developed only for first person, unfortunately it doesn't work in third person.
    I'll work on the third person, for the next version :).

    I may buy this later today, but will it definitely be able to work in third person from the next update? I've never seen a game which allows you to build in third person, it would certainly be original.

    Dude, please... Dont write bump all the time! I mean, i follow/watch this thread cause iam interested in your stuff. But everytime you write bump i get a notification which forces me to now unfollow your stuff

    Also watching thread - don't sweat it though - just bump when you have something to show us, like a new trailer, or a tutorial, or an update was uploaded, or answering a question, you know just something we may want to be alerted about, etc.. :)

    Hi, How can I instigate a prefab using a ui button. Without using mouse scrollwheel just by pressing a button it will spawn that prefab. Thanx Jimbob

    Hello!
    First off I love the asset, however I am having a major issue with collision. It seems when the player wants to shoot outside of the window the bullet is stopped by some sort of collision. I noticed by changing the the prefab layer to ignore raycast this solves the problem. But I can not have this, then players can shoot through the walls and doors with no collision detection. Please help!

    Looks great. Congrats on the release. Looking forward to trying this one out. How does the Inventory Pro integration work, take items from the inventory itself, or do you equip the items into Easy Build System first?

    It's simple custom item type, you can take your items in the inventory, move in spellbar or so with a simple right click for enter placement mode.
    If you have knowledge with inventory pro you can easily add other fonctionnalitée such as craft.

    unet and forge networking would be my choice, but photon is good too but limited. I prefer being in control of my own servers.

    It's true, nothing better than authoritative server, I never used Forge Networking, i think going to unet for the network integration.

    I found an error in the script of component Ebs Storage, some fields are useless (File Name, File Extension).
    To resolve this problem, insert the full path of the output folder in the inspector file (File Output).

    Example : Your Path / File Name . File Extension

    The problem will be fixed in the next release.

    All the people who have the problem (extension method must be defined in a non-generic static class).
    The fix of this problem is Here

    The next project release will be done on the 5.5 to avoid this kind of problem.

    The placement is based on your model type, if you have a triangular shaped model, there is no problem.

    Update 2.4 of Easy Build System work only on the Unity version 5.5 or more.
    So be careful not to make update Easy Build System on a project with an ulterior version.
    Otherwise it will cause bugs/crashes.
