13 or so hours into the iDevGames 24 Hour MiniContest, my Unity based entry is done. (I had to eat dinner and relax a bit!) The theme of the contest was one button control. I would expect that it is a particle effect with it being longer in length than depth. Then you give it a slow vertical velocity... That is just a guess at how I would approach doing that type of effect.
It's an ellipsoidal particle emitter with the ellipsoid part set to be 10 the x axis and 1 in the others. Then in the particle animator there is an upwards force in the Y direction.
HAHA! Thats a fine game, only one remark; IM SPENDING FAR TO MUCH TIME ON IT! "Illuminations" has the same disadvantidge to it..
