I want to create some kind of tutorial utility that can point to certain things in the editor. For this I need a GUI that extends the entire Editor environment. Currently I can draw from with some kind of window, but GUI calls cannot be positioned outside of the window or origin.

For example, the Scene GUI is only visible from within the boundaries of the Scene View. And from an Inspector, the OnGUI method is restricted to the inspector window.

Is there a way you can draw GUI that can litterally be positioned and draw anywhere in the Editor? For example with which I could draw a line that stretches over multiple windows?
