Drag and drop not working(Setting up scripting invocation from unattached thread)

    Hi there, I am using Unity 2019.3.0f6, and I am experiencing a weird bug within the editor that occurs after several minutes that I am unable to reproduce.

    What happens is that after several minutes(possibly hours of working within the editor) there comes a time where I cannot drag and drop anything within the editor. This includes dragging from windows explorer to within the Assets folder AND trying to move anything around within the editor.

    Any attempt at this is met with an error in the console:

    (Setting up scripting invocation from unattached thread).

    Very odd, because I tried googling this error, and not a single mention of it. Any possible thoughts on this issue? Thank you!

    I'm having exactly the same issue for a long time now. Couldn't figure out what is causing it, restarting Unity solves the issue temporarily. I'm on 2018.4.1 and on Windows 10.

    Also exists in 2022.3.1. Restarting or "Reset all layouts" solves it.
