    Hello,

Just now I downloaded Unity 4.5 on my Windows 7 Laptop(verified, checked the control panel and it said so). when it was done, I expected to see Unity 4.5, but it turned out to be an older version. I don't know which version but it definitely older than 4.5 since I have 4.5 on my Windows XP desktop. It is the same with my other Windows Vista desktop, unity doesn't support Vista so i knew that was the problem there, but I don't know why it isn't the newest version on Windows 7 for me.

also, I can tell it is an older version since it doesn't have the new UI and the new 'Create' menu. Mine still has 'Create other' and that's about it. No new 2D or 3D menu, just, create other.

anyone know why this is happening?

Unity 4.5 doesn't have the new GUI. That's only in Unity 4.6. Anyway, the "About" menu item tells you specifically what version it is, so you don't need to guess.
