    To Who, it may concern,

This has probably been asked thousands of times and I apologise for any inconvenience in advance.

Many years ago when first starting to learn coding of any sort, I found it great to think "How do I do that?" and have a manual at hand so that I can look up possibilities for answers.

So, my request is for a fully downloadable Unity manual please. I am soon to start living on the road and where I live in Australia, I dont always have internet access of any sort but would still be able to use my laptop to do things with, in Unity. Having a manual to which I can refer, at those time, would be very much appreciated rather than having to rely on internet supplied answers when I cant always get internet.

    Thanks for any help.

    Greg.

If you downloaded Unity then you already have the Unity manual downloaded on your hard drive too.

Just hit on the "help button" when you add a component and you will launch the help files.

The problem with having the manual on your laptop is that you are using your battery up reading it. I also prefer a paper copy, as I can read it anywhere, when I have a few minutes spare, as opposed to having to fire up the laptop log in, etc.

In which case you should probably print the topics you are interested in and take these with you. Maybe even with a spiffy wire-o ring on the spine. :p

You might be better off looking for a Unity beginner's guide to read if you want something printed.
The documentation is updated constantly and changes often as Unity changes.

Or put it on your tablet. That's more up to date and slimmer to carry.

Correct, currently we only ship as separate HTML files. However occasionally we hear the requirement of one (or at least fewer) big file, and will look into if it can be done. However won't be ready for 5.0 release.

    Thanks for feedback.
