    I'm making a parkour game and I'm hoping to implement jump pads.It works like the bounce pads in fortnite.
    I made a model but how to I make it give him a jump boost
    also if I could add a glowing effect when it jumps as well
    (for the model I'm temporarily using a resized unity cube.)

    You can use a physics material to make the collider bouncier. :) For the glowing, you'll need a particle effect.

    @PixelCloudInc

    Hi,
    do a search for add force to a Rigidbody OnTriggerEnter.

    You could make a larger jump pad, then a smaller trigger on it's center, so that your player doesn't jump when he just touched the edge of jump pad. You could also call a method on trigger enter to activate your glow animation.

    EDIT: I don't know if the post topic is accurate or not, how does double jumping relate to this jump pad effect you want to create?

    Then you wanna use ontriggerenter or oncollisionenter and Rigidbody.AddForce and push it upward.
