If you try to load a project using .Net 4.6, it says
At the bottom of the editor log, it says:

Aware of it, and fix is in flight. Hopefully in b3, but not sure on timing of that.

Same problem. Any workaround in the meantime?

Same crash also when switched from .NET 3.5 to .NET 4.6, Unity 2017.2.0b2 throws the error message: "Failed to load Mono. Please see Editor.log file for more information."
Also updated mono via homebrew to v5.0.1.1 but had no effect.

However Unity 2017.1.0f1 works when switched from .NET 3.5 to .NET 4.6 (macOS in my case) but on another note it can't run the CacheServer where as Unity 2017.2.0b2 can run the CacheServer.

Discovered Unity 2017.1.0f2 has the best of both worlds, enables the CacheServer as well as .NET 3.5/4.6 now all my Assets from the store & Unity are no longer crashing at this time.
