I've been looking in the unity docs, forums and answers but couldn't find an explanation. Please post any links here if its already explained somewhere.

In Unity 5, the vorbis import setting for iOS has worked well for Music. But I can't seem to find if unity is re-compressing my .ogg files into ogg again. The imported size shown in the import settings in smaller than the original size. Is there a way to prevent unity from doing this.

Another thing I've been wondering is whether using wav file(import set to vorbis), causes build size to increase.

    Thanks in advance.

It only works on url addresses, not local audio resources, therefore no.
