I am tired of googling stuff only to get 404 manual pages for the top results. New people aren't going to know to change the manual version. Heck the pages don't even have a manual version drop-down on them.

    For ex searching IPointerClickHandler gives
    https://docs.unity3d.com/ScriptRefe...l?source=post_page---------------------------
    and
    https://docs.unity3d.com/ScriptRefe...l?source=post_page---------------------------

or PointerEventData 2nd link down gives
    https://docs.unity3d.com/ScriptReference/EventSystems.PointerEventData-pointerId.html

Trying to find a general email for unity shouldn't be this well hidden. I hate going to support pages that just amounts to "search our help database" when what you want is a F***ing human being. https://unity3d.com/contact = useless even though on the page they state "...or send an email to a Unity department". Trying to find a general email address for unity shouldn't be this well hidden. So who can email to fix this S***?

  2. Well, then search the manual.

You can leave feedback in the respective forums, for example this thread should be in the Documentation.

Also if you have problems with an individual document page, there is a link at the bottom to leave feedback. Individual emails usually don't help, only to slow down the support process.

Just realized I can send a message to customer service through https://unity3d.com/learn/support. The webpage to me didn't look like those were clickable. I thought it was just text. I Know about email link on manual pages and I've used it before but after the 5th or so time, they need to do better on there part by setting up a system to solve their own problems or hire an employee to maintain this stuff. Anyways, I'm sending a message to customer support. It's in there hands to go through all dead links, not me.

Is there a way for them to directly control the results that Google gives for arbitrary searches? They do already provide their own search tool which should avoid this problem.

I do agree that they could do a bit more in directing people to the right place, though. In this case if there's a way for them to automatically re-perform the search for you in their own search tool that would be neat. And a personal nitpick of mine is manual pages not having an easy way to jump to the relevant part of the Scripting API.

Okay, but Unity can actually have links that 404 delisted from search results to be reindexed. I've had to walk through this process before and it's not even particularly complicated. This is also really important for technical document searching because it allows for error correction, something the API reference doesn't.
