Question Does Unity automatically apply compression to imported audio files?

    I'm guessing the answer is no, but I don't like to guess. The book I studying says that Unity CAN compress audio after you've imported the file. But then the next paragraph it says that it WILL compress the audio after it's been imported.

    Maybe it's just a poor choice of words, or maybe I'm just reading into it too much, but if any compression is being done to it automatically, I'd like to know.

    If you click on an audio clip asset you can literally see how it's being compressed and the options relating to it.
