Hi, I recently started reading the manual, and there are parts where code pops up. I have no knowledge on code. Does it teach scripting later or is itr not for me?

I think this one is more suitable for learning scripting,
    http://unity3d.com/learn/tutorials/modules/beginner/scripting

(other option is just to watch any common c# or javascript beginner tutorials on web, but not all of those will work directly in unity, still you learn the basics how to code, what are functions, strings, etc..)

The documentation assumes you already know coding, which is usually the case with docs. Learning to code is done elsewhere.

Any books/tutorials based on c# for unity (beginners)? I tried unity essentials but don't understand the coding.

One of my old lecturers gives away his C# book for free on his website, this book was basically my full first year of my CompSci degree. http://www.robmiles.com/c-yellow-book/

Though this is not Unity at all, it will give you a great understanding of C# and software development in general from the complete beginning.
