Does the latest Unity work with macOS 10.14 Mojave DP?

    does anyone runs the latest Unity 2018 version with macOS 10.14 Mojave DeveloperPreview?

    I'd be very surprised if you found many developers choosing an OS in beta for their development machine. That's something I would expect left to a QA machine.

    Runs fine for me, I''m on a MacBook Pro (Retina, Mid 2012) running Unity 2017.3.1f1, the only thing you might see is pop-up warnings for programs not running in 32-bit (like MonoDevelop), but you can ignore them for now. And if you're developing for an iDevice you probably need the latest beta of Xcode to be able to create builds for them.

    Great, so no glitches or crashes at all? You're on the latest Mojave Developer Beta?

    Yes, not had any crashes so far... knock on wood. Metal support in the editor might stop working however, but it is an experimental feature after all.

    Oh wait, that's an important thing that Metal doesn't work anymore. Specially because of Apple's decision to discontinue support for OpenGL.

    BTW: Is it working again after update to Beta 3 which comes out today?

    I have huge performance downgrade in Unity Editor, in my project, which before was ok, now in editor there are around 4-6 fps. I cannot be sure, if it is because of MacOs update or new version of Unity.

    It's because of Metal, because in Mojave some Metal things changed, so Unity and other Apps has to be adapted before you get your full speed back.

    hans't anybody tried latest Unity versions already?

    Yes, works better, but not as good as with macOS 10.13

    Sometimes it hangs for a short moment. Tried with the Book of the Death Demo on my Vega64, which works smooth on 10.13)
