Hello guys, I am about to buy a new computer and I would like to know if the Intel Core i5 9400f can bake light on Unity, once it doesn't have a graphic card. I would be using a GTX 1070, but as far I remember, the baking light process isn't made by the GPU, right?
Another option would be the 8400, but the 9400f is cheaper.

Any processor is capable of baking light, but a faster processor will bake faster.

So the baking light process doesn't use the integrated graphics of the processor's chipset? I have to be sure before buying it.

No. Very few applications are capable of using Intel HD for any practical purpose and Unity isn't one of them.

Unity does use the GPU in one of the steps. I have seen the GPU usage rise dont remeber which step though. This is enlighten I talk about. With progressive they have full GPU support. Though in my experience it always falls back to CPU anyway :D Maybe works better in 2019
