Hi, I'm using a Mac and I was able to get unity without admin privileges by installing it locally rather than to /Applications folder but this means that the creation of the /Library/Application Support.... file, where the license file would be housed, has to be skipped because it requires elevated permissions. I've been doing just fine building pc games but now Unity says I don't have the right license to build to ios or android. Is there any way that you know of that allows Unity to look at a different folder.
    Thanks,
    Diego Aguilar

    Hi Diego,

Which version of Unity are you using?

Are only the iOS and Android builds the only ones that you're having trouble to create?

Would you mind sharing with us a screenshot of the error message that you're having?

This will help us to understand better your situation in order to be able to help you.

    Thanks!

Thank you Diego! I'm Using 2019.7.1f. And I don't think its a bug or anything it's just that I don't technically have a license according to the editor because of how I extracted unity to my documents folder and never created the license directory since I don't have admin privileges on the computer I'm using.
The screenshot shows the ios but it is also tvOS, PS4, Xbox, and Android.
    Thanks again,
    Diego

In case it helps: at the moment as a temporary fix, I am using a different computer that I have admin privileges on and have correctly added a license and it is working on that computer even though it is the same license.

From the info that you shared, it seems to me that the problem is caused because what you mention about not having admin privileges.

What you can do also is to send an email directly to support@unity3d.com and ask if there is any way to do it without admin privileges and if so, how to activate your license in such a setup.

Any Luck? Maybe adding a local user option?
