I want to make a 2d game but I don't have any good spritesheets. I plan to draw my own but I want to have a placeholder spritesheet. Does anyone have any 8-16 bit ones that look kind of retro?

    Thanks.

The Unity Asset Store has some free ones. But, if you check out OpenGameArt and spend just a little bit of time, you will see it is very easy to use. Regardless, if you are just looking for placeholders just use the Unity Asset Store and find a free one, regardless of its retro-ness or not. Spend more time coding/gamemaking and less time searching.

Kenney has a large selection of free assets also.

As Cornysam said, opengameart has alot of great resources that you can search through and if its just something placeholder, the visuals really dont matter if its early days!
