Do not get emails from watched thread (only first one)

When I create or post in a thread I automatically watch the thread, and I will receive an email when there is a new post.

However I only ever receive the first new post, and do not receive any more emails of posts until I actually visit the thread. This is annoying as I have to open browser and go to forum and login every single time.

Is there a way to receive email notification of ALL posts even if you have not visited thread since the last one?

I would prefer to follow along the thread via email and then only have to visit forum if I actually want to respond.

 

No it's not possible and it's by design by default. Xenforo does not support sending them from each cause of various reasons such as the server load caused by it to the forum host and recipient mail server.

edit: I think there were addons for this but doubt they will be as the traffic here is huge

 

Well still very annoying. It should be an option that defaults off, but we can turn on if we want. Lots of other forums have this ability.

 

How many of those forums have hundreds of thousands of users?
