@UnityJuju two year anniversary of this bug now.
What can we do to help you guys fix this?
Any chance to open the source for the hub so we can help? :)

    FYI
From Taiwan, too. I also encountered this bug past year, but it's been fixed recently. My license will automatically update now.

@vis2k I just checked your ticket number, and it seems like someone from the Customer QA team is assisting you with this issue.

Also, I recommend users who's having the same issue to log a bug using the Bug Reporter within the Hub.

I'm also in Taiwan. I still have the issue, but I'm afraid to update - Hub is the most unstable software I've ever used... anytime I update (well, 50/50, but that's a really high %), I get stuck on an infinite "your license is expired" loop that drains hours away (yes, we reported that like a year ago).

I suppose I'll risk it soon... I really wish Unity QA'd Hub, though, that still doesn't seem to happen years later...

I am also in Taiwan. We need to update license weekly if we are using Person license. But if we use VPN and switch our ip to other places like USA, we won't need to update the license. That's because Unity China uses different policy regarding the China region (Mainland China + Hong Kong + Taiwan) to fight personal license abuse. Personally, I just purchase the Plus license to avoid this hassle.

Kept reoccurring for me as well every now and then.
Hub is really not Unity's finest work..

Rewarding Unity for bad engineering :)

This is starting to look like a discriminatory issue. "Asian people are going to abuse licensing"? While I hope this is a mistake, the signs don't look good.

If you can simply VPN as USA to circumvent this, how is this actually doing anything? "Hackers will never discover they can use a VPN to workaround this! We'll bother them in a weekly basis; that'll chase 'em away!".

EDIT: After posting this, I was coincidentally "banned from the forum for ddos attempts" when I use my natural IP address, when I have done nothing of the sort except post this. I suppose my question is answered.

They say its only in "Restricted Regions", but I'm in the US yet it still makes me do this every week! What the hell Unity?

Because it's intentional, they confirmed it didn't they?
If you are in china, they want to avoid piracy by letting licenses expire every 3 days.
If you are in taiwan, then you are apparently in china as far as Unity is concerned?
