Do I need a separate mesh for my weapons?

    Hello,

    I have some models I've purchased that have weapons as distinct prefabs/meshes and some that are a submesh. Can I use the submesh one with like standard mocap animations somehow or do I need a separate mesh that I can attach to the appropriate rig point? (hand, etc)
