Do GearVR builds run in VR in the editor?

When using the Oculus plugins, I could run a GearVR build in the editor and see the 2 views left and right.

However, with 5.1p1, I get an error saying

Bad config or LibOVR not found. VR disabled.

I have the 0.6 runtime installed. Do I need a Rift to view this in the editor? I tried running with -vrmode Oculus but it didn't fix anything.

    Thanks

Both the Rift and GearVR use the same plugin with the native integration, so when in the Editor, the Rift is needed in order to run. If you don't have a Rift, use Stereo when in the Editor and then toggle Virtual Reality Enabled when you build to android.

    Thanks for the quick reply!

Do you mean the stereoscopic option in the player settings? I only see this when using the PC platform, I don't see it when using the Android platform. Its not practical for me to switch platforms as it has to reconvert the assets each time I switch.

I tried it anyway with an empty test project set to PC platform, but it didn't render a stereo view. No errors appeared.
