Question DLSS or FSR 2.0 or intel XeSS in URP?

    Any hope for DLSS or FSR 2.0 or intel XeSS in URP?

    It's a standard feature nowdays to provide better performance with low visual impact through good upsampling methods. HDRP has some, but HDRP is just barely performant enough for tech demos and it's very difficult to make actual games in. That's my actual experience shipping a game on HDRP and it seems like it's easier to add missing stuff to URP than to optimize HDRP.

    So after some spending on the asset store, it seems like everything important can be added to URP to use it for making decently looking games. But some form of upscaling is the last thing on the list. I can't seem to find anything at all. Is there any hope something will be added?

    These things have been around for years now why don't we have them?

    oh, also temporal upscaling is a thing. For christs sake give us something..!

    I found FSR 1.0 in URP in the 2023.1.0 Alpha.
    Cool I guess, but 2022.1 released in May. I have a hard time getting excited about having FSR in a stable version of Unity-URP sometime around may next year, at which points, FSR 1.0 will be 2 years old.

    Hi, seems that they have no recent plan for DLSS/XeSS in URP. (see this thread)

    I know that FSR 1.0 is available in 2022.2 (URP) and was back ported to 2021.3, but somehow they forgot to back port it to 2022.1.

    You may try down grading the project (with a backup) to 2021.3 if you are not using material variants.

    Bad news is that URP TAA (I mean out of the box motion vector) is still in progress. (existing in latest public repository, but not production ready)

    As usually with Unity, you are supposed to buy the most basic stuff from some random dudes on asset store. There is a third party asset that has perfectly good looking TAA for URP. Same with SSR. And SSGI. And Eye adaptation. And bunch of other things..

    It's really S***ty that yet again Unity does nothing and it's up to some guy to implement the missing basic features, but at least it's something and I will buy it the second you release it. Thanks!

    DLSS support coming as soon as well, for URP and Built-in!
