    Dear Community!

I am fairly new to unity and I try to use the platform as interface to some glasses like google cardboard, ms hololens, meta spaceglass.

I work here in an austrian hospital
and I want to implement some kind of organ, getting data from the CT or MRT, inside the unity platform.

This is the story what I want.
I have enough data, this is not the problem.
But I want to know for which C# class / Interface
    I should be interest?

I'm sure anybody can help me ...
    THX for trying.

    Alex

    Hi,

maybe i'm the only one, but i'll ask in case if not.

What is the external object? I'm guessing it the file that holds the 3d data of the CT/MRI scan?
What format is it in (maybe dicom?)?

    Regards

    Hi Defero,

    yes this sounds good.
    you know what I want.

yes, the original data is dicom
and it's more easy for me when you know an interface class which I can capsulate over some Unity objects.

But for the beginning it's also helpful for me
when you talk about the directly unity classes.
I want to display as first an cube with own data from 6 points.
And for dicom Adapter classes I search self.

Do you have some Class names for me?

I never used unity in such a way, maybe some else can chime in.

Do you want unity to handle everything? From .dcm to actual mesh.

In that case, you'll probably have to write your own custom asset importer, and convert the .dcm files to what you need them for. dcm->Texture2D->Mesh or dcm->Mesh

I'm sure there is a better way of doing this, and things that convert dicom to .obj or .fbx must already exist. If you find one, you can run an external process and then import the already converted.
