Hello there, I tried to compare data from Google developers console and Unity and found out that it didn't really match.

Here, for example, I tried to compare installs by user from Google and new users from Unity for the same period. I know that Unity may take to account users not only from Google Play, so for Unity I also created a segment with users from Google Play store only. But still, as you can see on the screenshots below, there is quite a difference in numbers between these two platforms.

Am I missing something here? Could you please explain to me this discrepancy and if it is even correct to compare these two parameters?

We calculate new users differently, the numbers will never match. We only count those users who actually launch the game, and not game downloads. Also, if a user re-installs the app on the same device, we count as a new user also. You would be advised to stick to one data source, and not try to reconcile between the two.
