Official Discontinuation of Legacy Analytics Raw data export API & Remote Settings

    Effective August 31, 2023, the Legacy Unity Analytics Raw Data Export API & Remote Settings will be discontinued. We want to ensure you are aware of the impact this will have on your projects and provide guidance for a smooth transition.

    The impact will be as follows:
    • Raw Data Export API: The Raw Data Export API will no longer be accessible. Please take this opportunity to export any data you require. After this date, it will no longer be possible to export data from Legacy Analytics.

    • Remote Settings: The Remote Settings configuration will no longer be delivered to the game client. If you currently rely on Remote Settings, we recommend that you upgrade to Remote Config using the provided migration guide.
    We understand that this transition may pose challenges for you and your teams, and we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused. However, we firmly believe that the successors to these products will enhance your ability to manage live games effectively. We are actively investing in these solutions to ensure they deliver even greater value for you.

    It means that the previous values will no longer be delivered? This is a massive problem for those who trusted the Unity Remote Settings. Deprecating the API ok and forcing it to be replaced, ok, but not delivering the latest values is something else as it breaks older version of the apps.

    I'm so confused. I created a new blank 2D project on 2022.3.9f1 LTS and I get an email saying I attempted to use this? I am completely new to Unity and I have no idea what this is about. Anyways I don't think it's going to affect Unity learning experience... Hopefully.
