Disable script compilation during Play mode.

    I want to disable compilation during Play mode when I modify my script.
    Where are the settings ?

    Edit -> Preferences -> General

    On Mac it's Unity -> Preferences if I am not mistaken

    Well I do have Recompile After Finished Playing set.
    So why was it recompiling while still in play mode. Will have to take a deeper look at this.

    Hmm it works fine on my machine, maybe it's a bug then.

    Hey :) I'm necroposting this topic for Unity 2021; it seems the option "Recompile after finished playing" disappeared. Is there a trick to achieve the same behaviour ?
