    Hi,

Our app has been just removed from Google Play Store without prior warning due to: "Issue: Violation of Usage of Android Advertising ID policy and section 4.8 of the Developer Distribution Agreement"

We do not collect any advertising ID. The only third party SDKs we use is Crashlytics and UnityAds.

We found that Crashlytics can be collecting advertising ID.

In terms of UnityAds, is it possible to turn off usage of advertising ID?

In terms of Crashlytics, we have received a response from Fabric stating: "We no longer collect the Android Advertising Id, it was removed in version 1.4.2 of our Android SDK."

    The remaining issue is UnityAds.

I'm not using UnityAds, nor any other third party sdk or ad service.
    I'm using Unity Analytics.

Do you expect Unity Analytics to be collection Android Advertising Id?

    Hi ekt.

According to Unity's (markychoi) answer in this forum: https://forum.unity.com/threads/unity-analytics-faqs.292372/
    from 2015:

"Currently today, the Unity Analytics SDK does not use the advertising identifier (e.g., IDFA) in any way. However, other Unity Services such as Unity Ads does make use of the advertising identifier, and only within the stated guidelines of the platform holders (i.e., Google and Apple)."

Regarding UnityAds, we were advised by Unity that we can use their Policy URL, which we did and our game was put back on the store.

thanks @Nairda_Draziw but I don't think it's true (maybe it was in 2015)

I have no other dependencies beside Unity Analytics, but my app has been disabled due to the infamous "Violation of Usage of Android Advertising ID policy and section 4.8 of the Developer Distribution Agreement"

unity policy states that analytics will collect "IP address and device identifiers". But it's not clear what this identifiers are.

Beside that, I'm using unity personal which collects device info and sends it to unity, and I'm not sure what exactly is collected.

If you are using the Facebook SDK, that drops an advertising ID requirement into AndroidManifest

    <meta-data android:name="com.facebook.sdk.AdvertiserIDCollectionEnabled" android:value="true" />

    Might be worth checking.

Same here have two apps using unity analytics were removed from google play for exactly the same reason. I stopped the unity analytics and put url to privacy policy on the store app page to be safe as i am using admob ads and they require to point to their privacy policy page which i did re submit the app to google play and came back to mormal on the market.
