Dilemma: Expansion file or two versions of my game (a small under 100 mb and a big one about 500mb)?

My game is about 500 mb, but if i remove 80% of my levels I get down to under 100 mb. In that smaller version you can play for about 10 hours before you run out of levels. Im guessing having a 500 mb game on the App stores will result in a lot less downloads then if it was under 100 mb (due to the over 100mb limit popup). But what about an expansion file? If my game is 99 mb and my expansion file is 400mb is my game size 499 mb in the App stores? Meaning: will the 100mb limit still popup (Im guissing it will)? And can you postpone the expansion file download to when/if you have run out of levels (Im guissing you cant)?

Or is the best way to go to have two versions of the game on the stores: One light version and one big. ...and when the user has played the last level on the light version they will be directed to the store to download the big version... seems not very smooth...

My dilemma is: wich of these to options is the least bad for the user?

I would recommend you to make the app 100 MB and download all the levels in BG. This way player will neither have to worry before Downloading the game and not after as levels will be downloaded while he plays the game.

Im sorry, but what do you mean with "BG". Im assuming background... Ofcourse that would be the best for the users... but isnt that very, very expensive? My budget is very slim

Yeah I meant Background ;). But I have never myself done it myself as my games are never near even 59 MB so I can't say if it would be expensive or not
