I just noticed Maya and Unity have different coordinate system - doh! One is left-handed the other right-handed. Is this by design or have I messed up my preferences somehere?

    thanks,
    Richard.

Edit: I should add that this means that a rotation about the y-axis of +90 in Maya becomes a roataion of -90 in Unity.

I'm afraid not. Different programs just have different coordinate systems and no-one can quite agree on one.

We switch coordinates when importing into Unity, I believe... Is there anything you would like to see different?

No problems with different coords systems - it just took me a while to figure out what was going on since I was doing the rotation numerically in Maya ie setting the y-totation to +90 when a +90 in Unity corresponded to to a -90 in Maya. Perhaps a note in manuals might be a good idea.

    thanks,
    Richard.
