We have two versions of our game. Changes between them - is a few textures, minor features, some advertisment adapters upgraded. Not much really.

Anyway, the different between builded addressables for those version is huge. First version (1.14.x) adressables bundle weight is 76 MB, second version (1.16.x) adressables bundle weight is 108 MB.

We use Unity Data Tools to analyze this two bundles. And the strange thing is that their size must be EQUIALENT due to Unity Data Tools. This tool generates database with the detailed information about content of the builded bundles. The same size it's what we are expected, because in new version we add some new assets, but better compress lot's of old assets.

So the problem is that we have two builded addressabled bundles that MUST be almost the same size, but they are NOT and have a huge difference (32 MB). Unity Data Tools shows us that assets inside this bundles have almost identical weight (new version must weight even slightly less then old).

It's looks like some compression problem - but every setting in Unity3d is just identical, our team checked it much more then twice. This is the same project, just a few weeks of work is difference between those changes, without anything that can make this difference.

Please, help us fix it. It's new 32 MB for out build size out of nowhere and it's really bad for such a game as ours. We must be under 150 MB and this make huge difference for us.

I would question the tool you are using. It looks like you have almost 400 more meshes in the new version but that tool says the size went down 3mb? That cant be right.

The new version has a lot more stuff according to that tool, so the extra size seems correct to me.

It definetly can. In new version we compressed all textures and meshes, removed all unused data from meshes, etc. So it's definetly true and it's easy. Compression \ removing unused staff means A LOT.
