    Hey all,

Would somebody be able to clarify the difference between the Windows 'Build Support' and 'Dedicated Server Build Support'?

    And similarly for the mac.

    BW,

A year old question without response... =/

The "Build Support" allows you to build your game for the specified platform so that you can normally play it.

The "Dedicated Server Build Support" allows you to build a version of the game that's supposed to be run on a server e. g. in order to serve clients connecting to it. A server rarely has a graphics card, doesn't need to play sound or evaluate user input from input devices etc., so some optimizations are possible. This is something mostly for people who develop networked multiplayer games and not so important for most developers who work on singleplayer experiences.
