A simple puzzle platformer about dying and resurrecting. You should Die and use your corpse to move around level. For clearing levels you should get inside the portal. Give me lots of feedback. The idea with using your corpse really great! I didn't play it but it seems like a cool mix of puzzling and having skill to solve the levels! The graphics aren't really my taste but the gameplay idea with the corpse is awesome!!
Interesting concept. I can see this has good potential for level design. The art style can be improve a lots such as adding gradient or shadow etc... Look forward to see more creativity. Keep it up.
Thanks! No it is actually my second game. In my first game I just did programming and very little art. But in this game I did all the art and all the music and sound fx were downloaded from sites like freesound.org though I did make one song which plays at the start of the game. So in a way it is my first game or rather my first big project.
Thanks! I am glad you liked it. I am a beginner at creating art but I will improve my drawing skills.
Good to see you motivated. Art is actually not hard... You can try to draw simple geometry first with just a flat color. Then slowly added these elements: Gradient, highlight, shadow... Ambient occlusion, reflection (If got) and transparency. (If got) You will come out with a nice geometry artwork already. I also absolutely no idea how to code 5 years ago... But then now I can code simple games while doing 2D / 3D arts. Keep it up.
Good art is a time sink for indie and you do seem to have realised this. Getting good at art is much much more about understanding what you really see vs what you assume you see (this is basically the whole problem) so it's not about muscle memory but understanding why a visual works and what breaks it, and I think you will probably get good at that when you get time too!
