There was a brief discussion about this back in 2009, but that info is no longer accurate so I thought it best to start a new thread.

We found clients who have disabled hardware acceleration in Chrome. That caused their system to switch their GPU to Google SwiftShader, which left our program showing up as a black screen. This was rather tricky to track down. Is there a clear way now to detect whether their system has disabled hardware acceleration in WebGL?

    Thanks!
