Is there an easy way to design the game in the Horizontal Orientation (typical monitor orientation) and then run the game Rotated 90 degrees? This would be for the Desktop.

It would make development a lot easier.

Turning the camera doesn't help. Screen.orientation doesn't seem to work on the desktop.

I'm developing a game that will run with a monitor turned 90 Degrees (to get more vertical Height than Width).

Basically design it at 1024x768 but play it at 768x1024.

This is probably where customizing your workspace comes in handy. You could try resizing your editor and/or game window to the correct aspect ratio you want and make it span the entire height of your monitor.

I don't see how that's going to help. If I play the game on the phone and I rotate the phone, the game rotates with the orientation on the phone and the game adjusts to the new resolution (if the game is done correctly). I'm looking for a way to force this orientation change on the Desktop without me writing a bunch of code to do the rotation myself.

Ah that's what you meant. Now that you mention it, I've never actually seen a mobile game designed to run on both portrait and landscape orientations.
