Hey NewLife,I have bought your game on google play and been playing it since 2014.I love your physics,its so much like NFS.I have tried many car physics out there but none can compare to the one you've used in your game,not even Edy's.The only problem I have with buying your asset is the price...$150 is way to high.My max price for any asset is $60.I am a single developer too,I dont have a lot of money.I hope you drop your price in the near future.Thanks I really admire your work.

Have you looked at the Realistic Car Controller?

UnityCar has been abandoned since 2014 and the author no longer provides support.

 

Maybe the 3.0 version will never release ! Sadly !

 

it is a sad sad world we live in where authors abandon their unity assets.

is there any news on the 2.3 features? I realise you have deprecated the asset but cant you provide links to the work that had been done? We have an entire simulation built on this and we are finding it near impossible to get cars working correctly even with the wiki (which is very sparse).

 

really sad for this news...we so looking forward the new update of unitycar...Is there any chance to republish this asset? Anyway, take my money, @newlife

 

yes I have Real Car Controller sucks,I am now using edys car physics.Its easy to set tire grip with just a slider bar.No need to use Unitys crappy and confusing WheelFrictionCurve

 

Is there chance to buy this asset somewhere ? Or analyze it is source code ? Its drift features are amazing. Cannot achieve it with Edy or RCC.

 

@newlife is there any chance i could buy the latest UnityCars from you?

UnityCar is deprecated on the Asset Store. Anyway Its still actively developed only for proprietary projects. So its not possible to release its code nor to sell it.
In the future I can decide to release for free a light version of UnityCar.

 

Do you know why the cars seem to go as if they are low FPS when passing the player? All the cars seem to be smooth but when approaching they seem to become choppy as if low FPS?

 

Why did you delete this asset why just tell me why you had to delete this bring it back please

Hello Lesnikus5, that page shouldn't be there. For some reason it hasn't been removed. Most probably cause it's UnityCar 2.1 page so it has been forgotten. Please don't use that page cause it's inactive.

This is the best simulator controller for Unity. There is simply no choice. Previously i used Realistic Car Controller, but it is not so realistic. Author Edy's Vehicle Physics has released a new asset, but the price with the source is almost 5 thousand euros (omg!). Is there any opportunity to purchase a UnityCar 2.2 Pro?

 

I'm sorry but UnityCar is not sold anymore. I don't have the time to support customers due to ongoing projects on mobile platforms.

Make it editable. Put it on Git

 

Or give us a perrmission to put it on Git for development and improvement

Maybe your problem is with the spatialblend, In this case, you just need to add this line inside of the CreateAudioSource function,

go.GetComponent<AudioSource> ().spatialBlend = 1f;

Just dropped by to say these are still the best overall vehicle physics for Unity I´ve seen.
I hope we will still see the free version, or what you may have planned for the future.

I ´m still developing my racing game with the old version I bought back in the day, it works with even the latest versions of Unity. Only thing I had to change was the wheel script, to disable skidsmoke which wasn´t working with the new versions anymore.

 

I agree. This is the best car physics of all existing assets. Played a demo, did not have time to buy. I’m still looking for something similar, but not one asset can show the same realistic physics. Over the years, many car assets have appeared, but they are all worse.

Anyone have a guide to make version 2.2 work with a recent version of Unity.

Edit: I was mostly curious about having a good working copy of all the demos and prefabs. A simple scene with just a few of the scripts seem to work as expected.

 

Hello kns1966, the only way to get the 2018 version of UnityCar is to pay for it, unless you a have a UnityCar invoice number.

It is only method to restore purchase? I've lost my old mailbox, when I divorced. Is there any way to identify me by email or something?

 

You should have all invoice ID's tied to your Unity account where you made the purchase (if you bought it from the asset store), so just go through your account's history to find it.

 

Rizu is right. If you bought UnityCar using paypal, you just need to send me the email you used to make the purchase.

 

Hey! Does UnityCar 2.2 Pro works with the latest version of Unity or is it a bunch of errors and basically useless because the scripts are too old? Because if it still works I'm interested in buying it.

 

UnityCar works with both unity 2018 and unity 2019.
