On your side: 1 minute on the unity website / searching on the answers site and you will know the answer. The question has been asked that often that you will find the answer if you search for it.
On the side of the "moderator" : Its not nice to just post the link and do not explain why the question was rejected.

Answers is for specific questions and answers to problems. You asked for a feature. Use the forum or feedback.unity3d.com for feature requests.

All of this moaning from people when we could simply reply with "No, C++ is not supported". I know you're supposed to keep to the guidelines, but is it really worth throwing a fit over something as simple as this? Can't we just answer the bloke (In the Unity Answers question) and leave it be. Acting like this and deleting the question just seems a bit childish, with a touch of elitism.

Marcel, C++ is not supported within scripting. Sorry about that buddy :p

There is, at any point, about 100-200 questions waiting on moderation in UA. There's a crazy amount of questions comming in. If we don't throw out questions that it's really easy to google the answer to, then good questions that actually deserves space on Answers would just be burried under the flood.

There's already faaaar too many questions from people who don't know how arrays work, or have other questions that have nothing to do with them not understanding Unity, and everything to do with them not understanding basic programming.

@Marcel7355 : unless you're working with a big studio that needs to push the bleeding edge of graphics, choice of language will not have a performance impact that's noticeable.

I actually think this is fairly appalling you saying "Good questions that actually deserves [sic] space on Answers". Every question deserves an answer - It's Unity Answers, the community that is there to help. If somebody posts a question that is easy to Google, give them the link to it then move on. Yes, it does mean that you have to put the slightest bit of effort in to answer the question, but I guarantee it takes the same amount of time to delete/mark it as a bad question as it does to reply to the question and answer it.

The Unity Community is a growing network of users of all abilities and therefore we must offer a helping hand to people that may not be as educated as we are in the subject, or simply struggle to get their point across.

It actually annoys me too, since after reading Marcels last message it looks as though he's actually asking what the platform is built on. There's a question on Unity Answers that has already been answered in regards to this, and therefore you can simply reject it and reply with "Duplicate: http://answers.unity3d.com/questions/9675/is-unity-engine-written-in-monoc-or-c.html".

You're not doing your job right when you reject a question and refuse to give a reason why. Don't try to deny it when there's clear evidence that you (Or another moderator that rejected it) isn't doing their job correctly.

    It's not anybody's job, dude.

Sigh. Questions that deserve space are the ones that follow these guidelines roughly:

If you want to know more about why mods reject questions like this, look over the guidelines. Can you see the part where it says "Every question deserves an answer"? No? It's because it's not there. If that's a problem, complain to someone that actually works at Unity.

OP's question should be closed because it has already been answered, something you can see here. If we allow all of the thousands of questions that is already answered through, they would push out questions that hasn't already been answered out of the queue.

If you have done your own googling and searching before you ask a question, you deserve space on UA. If you haven't, then nope, sorry, try again.

Although, I guess the rejection could have linked one of the actual answered questions instead of passively-aggressively linking to a blog post about people not bothering to put in the effort to help themselves, but y'know, you get kinda tired of people never trying,.
