At the beginning of development, we added one fork asset to the project, after 3 months we decided to remove it. However, it now takes up space in the remote repository like the old chancheset. We don't need this asset anymore and want to remove it from the repository so it doesn't take up space in the remote repository. How can I do this without deleting the project and uploading it again?

Unfortunately, we do not currently have a method of trimming items from the repository history, although this is a problem we plan to tackle at some point.

As of 10.0.16.6241, you can actually reduce the size, and the costs, of your cloud repositories by archiving revisions to external storage.

Please check out the archive documentation here.

    Hope this helps!

This documentation is very non-obvious or intended for advanced users. I spent 12+ hours and still couldn't archive the branch, nor did the changeset itself. I wasn't able to zip large files either. A similar problem hangs on the plastic forum, but it has not been answered.

    Hi,

The trimming feature should be available in the following months. It should allow you to archive assets based on file type or even to keep just the last few revisions for an item. It's still under development but planned for this year.
I agree that the "cm archive" is very limited to archive specific revisions.

    Regards,
    Carlos.
