Default shortcut on ubuntu 17.10 points to an older version of unity

    It seems like the recent installers don't add (or update) the path to the editor in the "start menu" At first I thought that the version string is wrong and I'm using the latest editor version (silly me)

    It would be nice to be able to perform a "clean installation" and remove older versions or at least let the user decide which one should be set as default.

    it points to the version in
    /opt/Unity/ and the old shortcuts are stored in the /usr/share/applications so I guess u need root to remove or update them
