Hi, when i´m profiling with deep profile active, profiler just shows some NewInputUpdate process. However, when deep profile isn't active, the whole calls are shown as expected. There's something in the configuration that can lead to this problem?

    With deep profile (just newinputupdate):

Without deep profile (working as expected):

Deep profile gives you more information, if you don't want more information on what's happening, don't use deep profile.

But that extra information that deep profile provides is what I'm missing

Reading inbetween the lines here; gathering extra information with the in-process profiler can seriously affect performance so you start seeing more time taken when using the deep profiler. This is to be expected and you'll need to look at relative performance differences etc.

You can use the profiler out-of-process which should help counter this effect.

Maybe I'm not expaining myseflt correctly. I'm not experiencing performance issues. My problem is that deep profile isn't showing all calls, is just showing that NewInputUpdate process.

Oh sorry, I see. I'm actually not sure why that would be the case then; maybe the profiler only has so much memory is allowed to use and all that Input system stuff is saturating it.

You might find more information here: https://docs.unity3d.com/Manual/Profiler.html

There's also a link at the bottom to an e-book which goes into a lot of details. Maybe a search there will find something related to Deep Profiling.

I've found more information about my problem. As I said, this is what is shown with deep profile active:
    upload_2023-9-6_12-4-59.png

However, if I search something with the search bar, the related calls are shown:
    upload_2023-9-6_12-6-4.png

Then, if I select one of those calls and remove the search, everything dissapears and that input manager call appears like this:
    upload_2023-9-6_12-8-34.png

Seems that there's some kind of graphical glitch or maybe that inputmanager function is breaking everything...

    More information!
Everything that should be at the top of the list, its inside that input manager call:
    upload_2023-9-6_13-42-14.png

So, if I search for Update.ScriptRunBehaviourUpdate (which is the group of calls that I'm looking for) it appears:
    upload_2023-9-6_13-43-52.png

However, I don't know what the hell is going on with that input manager method. I've tried reinstalling unity, changing version (using 2022.3.8f1), reimporting new input system... Nothing fixes it. Also, seems that I'm the only developer in my company that is experiencing this problem, so maybe clearing user data or something like that may fix this. How could I restore ALL unity editor settings, including ALL profiler settings?

Yeah that looks seriously broken. Could you please file a bug report via the Editor Menu
    Help > Report a bug
    ?
It might just need a saved Profiler.data file but it might also need a project that reproduces the issue for us to be able to examine and fix this.

    Ok, will do.
Meanwhile, how can I perform a clean instalation of Unity?. I've tried everything, but there's some conf file that I'm not deleting correctly.
I've tried in another computer and profiler works flawless.

    Thanks for your help!

I honestly don't know. It's not something I've ever had to do to fix anything...
